Abstract:
Provided is a message encapsulating method, comprising: determining a segment routing-traffic engineering (SR-TE) path; according to the segment identifier (SID) of each node in the SR-TE path, generating an SID list, wherein each node supports a plurality of universal SID encapsulation types (UET), the plurality of UETs of the node respectively correspond to SIDs having different lengths, and in the SID list, the SID of the node at least serving as an intermediate node of the SR-TE path is the SID having the non-longest length in the plurality of SIDs corresponding to the node; using the SID list to form a segment routing header (SRH); and using the SRH to encapsulate an initial message so as to obtain a final message. Further provided are a message forwarding method, a UET notification method, an electronic device, and a computer-readable storage medium. The load efficiency of the final message encapsulated according to the message encapsulating method is high.
