Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate beyond a 4G communication system such as LTE. The present disclosure includes a method for introducing in-network computing technology to and supporting same in a 5G communication system, and mobile communication networks to emerge in the future. In-network computing refers to technology for additionally introducing a data processing-related function to a network device which had performed a role of simply forwarding network traffic. Through same, in the process of data being transferred through a network, processing of the data itself may be carried out, or the data may be processed in the shortest network path without being transferred to a destination server. Through same, various advantages may be gained such as reducing a delay time of a service being used on a terminal, increasing traffic throughput, and reducing costs.
