Abstract:

The present application relates to the field of computers, and embodiments of the present application disclose a message transmission method, apparatus, and system. The present invention improves the probability that an initiation end device of a detection message receives a response message of the detection message, and improves the accuracy of tunnel detection when the detection message is used for detecting a tunnel state. The specific solution comprises: a first network device sending a detection message to a second network device, the detection message comprising an identifier of the first network device, and the identifier of the first network device being used for instructing the second network device to add the identifier of the first network device in a destination address of a response message of the detection message; and receiving the response message from the second network device, the destination address of the response message being the identifier of the first network device, or receiving an updated response message from a third network device, a destination address of the updated response message being the identifier of the first network device, and the third network device and the first network device both being connected to a same user-side network device.
