Abstract:
An embodiment of the present application relates to the field of communications, and discloses a message transmission method and system, an electronic device, and a storage medium. The method is applicable to a short message service function (SMSF), and comprises: acquiring the state of a network element that is to interact with the SMSF and a backup network element list, wherein the state of the network element comprises an accessible state and an inaccessible state; if the network element is in the accessible state, establishing multiple links with the network element, selecting a link via a preset link selection procedure, and performing message transmission with respect to the network element until the message transmission is successful; and if the network element is in the inaccessible state, switching, according to the backup network element list, to a backup network element that has not been selected, and configuring the backup network element to be a network element for interaction.
