Abstract:

Disclosed are a metadata output method, a client side, and a metadata server. The metadata output method comprises: receiving calling on a MetaServer process, the calling comprising output configuration parameters of metadata; establishing a subprocess of the MetaServer process by using a bifurcation function; and controlling the subprocess to output corresponding metadata according to the output configuration parameters. The memory state of all files no longer need to be recovered, and the memory state of an output target corresponding to a time point of bifurcation operation can be obtained, thereby ensuring the timeliness of outputting metadata; and an additional computer is not required to be equipped any more, thereby realizing cost reduction.
