Abstract:
A metal belt continuous cooler for castings or other high temperature melted material is disclosed. The conveyor (1) comprises a metal conveyor belt (2) moving means, activated by powered mechanisms, on said conveyor belt (2) moving means being positioned a properly equipped metal tunnel (3), in which the castings (4) run. In said metal tunnel (3), a controlled air flow combined with a series of nozzles (5) for atomizing cooling water allow the cooling of the running material (4), and an air seal (17) system prevents the emission of gases and/or dust contained in the tunnel.
