Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention are a metal foreign object detection method for a washing machine, and a washing machine. The metal foreign object detection method for a washing machine comprises: controlling the operation of a metal detection module according to the opening/closed condition of a door of a washing machine when the washing machine is in a shutdown state and/or a standby state, so as to detect whether there is a metal foreign object in the washing machine. The washing machine comprises: a control module, and a door opening/closed detection module and a metal detection module, which are respectively connected to the control module. By means of the present invention, when a washing machine is in a shutdown state and/or a standby state, whether there is a metal foreign object in the washing machine can still be effectively detected according to the opening/closed condition of a door, such that more accurate and comprehensive detection is realized, thereby effectively reducing the possibility of the metal foreign object being present in the washing machine, and improving the running safety of the washing machine.
