Abstract:
This metal nonwoven fabric comprises a metal fiber and is liquid permeable. An average fiber diameter of the metal fiber is between 20 nm and 10 µm both inclusive. In the metal nonwoven fabric, a distribution peak top diameter of voids measured according to the mercury porosimetry method is 30 µm or less. In the metal nonwoven fabric, a distribution peak top diameter of voids measured according to the mercury porosimetry method is preferably 0.01 µm or greater. Where the length of a metal crystal constituting the metal fiber along the extending direction of the metal fiber is X, and the length along a direction orthogonal to said direction is Y, an arithmetic mean value of the value of X/Y, which is the ratio of X to Y, is preferably 4 or less at three points in boundary regions that are obtained by dividing the length along the extending direction of the metal fiber into four equal parts.
