Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a two-dimensional or three-dimensional metal oxide structure using biomimetic processing. [Solution] A jack bean urease (JBU) derived from jack beans is used as a urease and, by the template effect thereof, urea is degraded and a two-dimensional or three-dimensional structure comprising metal oxide nanoparticles is manufactured. By means of this invention, the metal oxide is formed in a sheet and exhibits superparamagnetism, and a flower-like hierarchical structure exhibits a desirable strong magnetism and usefulness as an MRI contrast media. A titanium oxide forms a rutile-type titanium oxide that exhibits high photocatalytic activity at a low temperature of 37°C.
