Abstract:
Provided are: a metal powder producing method in which good fluidity can be achieved by efficiently removing fine powder from metal powder produced by water atomization; and an additive manufacturing method. The metal powder manufacturing method comprises: a spheroidization step in which primary metal powder produced by water atomization is plastically deformed or pulverized into spherical secondary powder P; and an air classification step in which a fine powder Q and a secondary powder P generated from the primary powder pulverized in the spheroidization step are sorted by centrifugal force together with air flow, and the secondary powder P from which the fine powder Q has been removed are extracted.
