Abstract:
Provided are a metal sheet-quenching apparatus, a continuous annealing facility, a metal sheet-quenching method, a cold-rolled steel sheet production method, and a plated steel sheet production method that prevent shape defects generated in a metal sheet during quenching, irrespective of the sheet passage speed or sheet thickness. The metal sheet-quenching apparatus comprises: a water tank in which a metal sheet being passed therethrough is immersed in a liquid and is thereby cooled; a water-blasting device provided to the water tank; and a plurality of constraint roll pairs that constrain a metal sheet being passed in the water tank. The water-blasting device has a plurality of water-blasting nozzles arranged in the direction in which the metal sheet is passed, so as to sandwich the obverse and reverse surfaces of the metal sheet and blast cooling water toward the obverse and reverse surfaces of the metal sheet. The locations of the plurality of constraint roll pairs relative to the metal sheet are each independently adjusted on the basis of operation conditions.
