Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a methacrylic resin composition which has practically sufficient optical characteristics, while exhibiting excellent heat resistance, thermal stability and moldability; and a molded body which contains this methacrylic resin composition. A methacrylic resin composition according to the present invention is characterized by containing 50-97% by mass of a methacrylic acid ester monomer unit (A), 3-30% by mass of a structural unit (B) that has a ring structure in the main chain, and 0-20% by mass of another vinyl monomer unit (C) that is copolymerizable with a methacrylic acid ester monomer. This methacrylic resin composition is also characterized in that: the methacrylic resin satisfies specific conditions; the residual ratio of weight average molecular weight after one hour heating at 280°C in a nitrogen atmosphere is 80% or more; and the residual ratio of weight average molecular weight after 0.5 hour heating at 280°C in air is 80% or more.
