Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for analyzing a lithium composite oxide. A method for analyzing substitution positions of an Ni atom and an Mg atom in a compound that is represented by chemical formula Li(1 - x - y)Co(1 - a - b)Ni(x + a)Mg(y + b)O2, said method comprising: a first calculation step wherein the stabilization energy, which is obtained when an Ni atom and an Mg atom respectively substitute an arbitrary Li atom or Co atom in an LiCoO2 crystal, is calculated; a second calculation step wherein the stabilization energy of a compound that is represented by the chemical formula wherein the cation occupancy in the Li site is changed is calculated; and a first measurement step wherein the initial charge/discharge efficiency and the n-th charge/discharge efficiency of a compound that is represented by the chemical formula are measured. Incidentally, n represents an integer of 2 or more.
