Abstract:
Provided are: a method for analyzing nitrogen in metal samples, whereby the nitrogen content in a metal sample can be accurately quantified at low cost; a device for analyzing nitrogen in metal samples; a method for adjusting nitrogen concentration in molten steel; and a steel production method. This method for analyzing nitrogen in metal samples has: a melting step in which a metal sample containing a nitrogen component is melted in an argon gas environment by using impulse heating and the nitrogen component is vaporized; and an analysis step in which nitrogen gas generated in the melting step and the argon gas are analyzed using a gas electrical discharge and light-emission method and the nitrogen in the metal sample is quantified. As a result of this analysis method, the nitrogen concentration of a sample taken from molten metal is analyzed, conditions for adjusting nitrogen concentration are determined on the basis of the nitrogen analysis values obtained as a result of the analysis, and the nitrogen concentration of the molten metal is adjusted.
