Abstract:
The present application discloses a method and apparatus for accessing hybrid cache in an electronic device, pertaining to the technical field of computer storage. The method comprises: receiving a read instruction for data to be accessed; and when a logical address of the data is found in an index table, acquiring status information of the data from the index table so as to read the data, wherein the status information is used to indicate whether the data is stored in volatile cache or in non-volatile cache. That is, the present application uniformly configures an index table for the hybrid cache. The index table records the logical address of the data stored in the hybrid cache, and indicates whether the data corresponding to each logical address is stored in a DRAM or in a PCM. Therefore, when data reading is performed in the hybrid cache, no matter whether the data is stored in the DRAM or the PCM of the hybrid cache, searching needs to be performed only once on the index table so as to determine which cache the data is stored in, thereby improving the efficiency of accessing the data in the hybrid cache.
