Abstract:
A method of operating a user equipment (UE) includes receiving downlink control information (DCI) indicating a plurality of transmission configuration indication (TCI) states; receiving first information in a control resource set (CORESET) configuration; and receiving second information indicating an association between one or more of the plurality of TCI states and the one or more CORESET groups. The first information indicates a value of CORESET group index provided by CORESETGroupIndex. The method further includes identifying, based on the CORESETGroupIndex indicated by the first information, a CORESET group of a CORESET in which a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) carrying the DCI was received; determining, based on the identified CORESET group and the second information, a TCI state in the plurality of TCI states to use for reception of a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH); and receiving the PDSCH using the determined TCI state.
