Abstract:
The present invention provides, as a method for calculating the generation position of a support that supports an item produced by a three-dimensional printer, a method for calculating an essential support generation position, the method comprising: a step for generating a plurality of layers that horizontally cut an item; a step for sequentially tracking intersecting sections of the cross section of the item and the plurality of layers, and extracting, as a support generation section, the intersecting section that is generated first or disappears in the next layer; and a step for calculating the support generation position in the support generation section.
