Abstract:
The embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a method for controlling reference signal transmission by an intelligent metasurface (RIS) and are applicable in the technical field of communications, wherein a method executed by an intelligent metasurface comprises: an RIS sending indication information to a network device, the indication information being used for indicating capability information of the RIS for sending a reference signal; and then, after receiving control information sent by the network device and used for controlling the RIS to send the reference signal, the RIS can transmit the reference signal according to the control information. The RIS reports the reference signal transmission capabilities thereof to a network device, and is thus able to transmit the reference signal according to control information from the network device, thereby further being able to achieve a channel between the RIS and the network device and a channel between the RIS and a terminal so as to perform channel estimation, thus improving the reliability of the communications system.
