Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for controlling a virtual object, and a readable medium and an electronic device. The method comprises: when a sliding operation of sliding a direction control region in a first direction is triggered, controlling a virtual object to move towards the first direction; and if the sliding direction of the sliding operation is switched from the first direction to a second direction and it is detected that the sliding position of the sliding operation is at the edge of the direction control region, controlling the direction control region to move in a third direction, and controlling the virtual object to move towards the second direction. According to the present invention, when it is detected that the sliding direction of the sliding operation is switched to the second direction and the sliding position is at the edge of the direction control region, the direction control region is controlled to move in the third direction, so that the response time for controlling the virtual object to turn around is shortened, and the virtual object can turn around rapidly. Therefore, the accuracy of controlling the moving direction of the virtual object is improved.
