Abstract:
Provided in the present specification is a method by which an apparatus estimates a quantum bit error rate (QBER) in a quantum cryptography communication system, the method comprising: receiving a random access (RA) preamble from another apparatus; transmitting a random access response (RAR) to the other apparatus in response to the RA preamble; performing a radio resource control (RRC) connection procedure with the other apparatus; receiving data from the other apparatus; and decrypting the data on the basis of key information, wherein the apparatus receives, from the other apparatus, through a quantum channel, a pulse in which bit information is stored, the pulse in which bit information is stored is a pulse to which rotating angle shift or polarization shift is applied, the apparatus generates the key information on the basis of the pulse in which bit information is stored, the apparatus estimates the QBER on the basis of the key information, and the apparatus determines that the key information is valid on the basis of the value of the estimated QBER being less than a critical value.
