Abstract:
Provided are a method and apparatus for determining a modulation and coding scheme. The method for determining a modulation and coding scheme in the present application comprises: during switching, a target base station receiving a first measurement result from a source base station, wherein the first measurement result is a measurement result obtained by means of a terminal device performing channel measurement on the target base station on the basis of a reference signal; the target base station determining an MCS according to the first measurement result; and the target base station sending, to the terminal device, downlink data that is modulated and coded on the basis of the MCS. By means of the present application, the throughput rate of the terminal device can be improved.
