Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for executing an application are provided. The method for executing an application may comprise the steps of: measuring air pressure within an electronic device by means of a barometer; receiving a user input by which a force is applied to the outside of the electronic device and detecting a change in the air pressure within the electronic device, caused by the force, by using the barometer; and performing a predetermined operation of the electronic device on the basis of the detected change in the air pressure within the electronic device.
