Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and apparatus for extracting a hotspot segment from a video, an electronic device, and a computer-readable storage medium, which relate to the technical field of multimedia processing. According to the present application, an implementation scheme used when a hotspot segment is extracted from a video comprises: acquiring a video to be processed; filtering image frames with repeated content in said video, so as to obtain a simplified segment of said video; according to user viewing information corresponding to said video, scoring each frame of image in the simplified segment; and sequentially splicing image frames, scoring results of which meet a preset condition, and taking a splicing result as a hotspot segment of said video. The present application can improve the extraction accuracy of a hotspot segment, and reduce the size of the hotspot segment, thereby reducing the wasting of memory resources and bandwidth of a user.
