Abstract:
The present application belongs to the field of animation production. Disclosed are a method and apparatus for generating a walking animation of a virtual character, and a device and a storage medium. The method comprises: according to the movement speed and movement direction of a virtual character, predicting footholds of each leg of the virtual character during a walking process (302); according to two adjacent footholds of each leg, calculating the position of the foot of each leg in a swing phase (304); performing reverse dynamics calculation on the basis of the position of the foot of each leg in the swing phase, so as to obtain the positions of skeleton points of each leg in the swing phase (306); and performing gait fusion on the basis of the positions of the skeleton points of each leg in the swing phase, so as to generate a walking animation of the virtual character (308).
