Abstract:

Two primary mechanisms for hybrid automatic repeat retransmission, active mobile multi-hop hybrid automatic repeat retransmission and passive mobile multi-hop hybrid automatic repeat retransmission, which are applied in multi-hop network are disclosed. A method and an apparatus for hybrid automatic repeat retransmission in the relay station in the wireless network according to the mechanisms are provided, wherein the relay station performs hybrid automatic repeat retransmission according to the resource assigned by the base station. Moreover, a method and an apparatus for hybrid automatic repeat retransmission in the base station are provided, wherein the base station performs hybrid automatic repeat retransmission through one or more relay stations to a mobile station. With the method, the problem of hybrid automatic repeat retransmission in multi-hop is resolved, the probability for receiving data successfully is increased and the transmission delay is reduced.
