Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of broadband terminal device networking, and provides a method and apparatus for managing a three/four-address router and an attach device thereof. The method involves more than one of a configuration protocol message, a network address table, an MAC table, and a network bridge address table, and comprises: obtaining the configuration protocol message, and if no same MAC address is matched in the network bridge address table according to the configuration protocol message, matching a different MAC address in the network address table according to an IP address of the configuration protocol message; if a different MAC address is matched in the network address table according to the IP address of the configuration protocol message, updating an MAC address in the configuration protocol message to a row record corresponding to the different MAC address matched in the network address table; and if the different MAC addresses matched in the network address table according to the IP address of the configuration protocol message matches a same MAC address in the MAC table, obtaining an access port corresponding to the same MAC address matched in the MAC table, so as to identify a device.
