Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a 5th generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system for supporting data transmission rates higher than that of a 4th generation (4G) communication system such as long-term evolution (LTE). According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, a method for a paging procedure in a wireless communication system comprises steps in which: a network node receives, from a plurality of terminals registered in an AMF, mobility data related to the mobile frequency of the plurality of terminals; a first candidate paging area is derived on the basis of a learning algorithm trained to derive a candidate paging area on the basis of the mobility data, and mobility data about a first period from among the mobility data; and reliability of the derived first candidate paging area is determined using test data about the first period.
