Abstract:
Provided in the present disclosure are a method and apparatus for performing deconvolution processing on feature data by utilizing convolution hardware. The method comprises: reading a feature map and a deconvolution kernel into an on-chip memory, and performing zero padding processing on the feature map; determining a plurality of convolution kernels on the basis of the deconvolution kernel; removing rows and/or columns, in which all elements are invalid weights, in each convolution kernel, so as to obtain an optimized convolution kernel, and removing corresponding rows and/or columns in the feature map that has been subjected to zero padding, so as to obtain an optimized feature map corresponding to each optimized convolution kernel; performing convolution processing on each optimized convolution kernel and the corresponding optimized feature map by utilizing a multiply-add array, so as to obtain a plurality of convolution outputs; and performing interleaving synthesis processing on the plurality of convolution outputs, so as to obtain an interleaving-synthesized output, which at least comprises a deconvolution output corresponding to the feature map and the deconvolution kernel. By means of the method, hardware complexity is reduced, chip area overheads and power consumption overheads are saved on, a large number of invalid operations are reduced, and the operating efficiency of convolution hardware is improved.
