Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses for positioning in RRC (radio resource control) idle or inactive states, wherein a processor of the apparatus determines first and second sets of configurations, wherein the first and second sets of configurations include configurations for a DL PRS (downlink positioning reference signal) based positioning measurement or an UL SRS (uplink sounding reference signal) transmission, and wherein a transceiver of the apparatus transmits a DCI (downlink control information) format including an indication on which of the first or second sets of configurations to use for positioning.
