Abstract:
The present application provides a method and apparatus for power saving mode (PSM) transmission, which is beneficial for reducing the power consumption of a communication apparatus, the method comprising: a first communication apparatus sends a first request message to a second communication apparatus, the first request message being used to request to enter a PSM; the second communication apparatus sends a first response message to the first communication apparatus on the basis of the first request message, the first response message comprising first indication information and second indication information, the first indication information being used to indicate to the first communication apparatus to enter the PSM, and the second indication information being used to indicate that the first communication apparatus has X wake-up occasion time periods in the PSM, X being greater than or equal to 0; and the first communication apparatus enters the PSM on the basis of the first response message.
