Title:
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PREDICTING WHETHER LESION IS BENIGN OR MALIGNANT BASED ON DECOUPLING MECHANISM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/268231
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided in the present invention are a method and an apparatus for predicting whether a lesion is benign or malignant based on a decoupling mechanism. The method comprises: using a reconstruction constraint to extract all of the feature information of an input image containing a lesion; using a benign and malignant lesion classification information constraint to decouple features facilitating lesion classification from the extracted feature information; using a symptom information constraint to further decouple features related to the lesion, the symptom information including the size, shape, density, and edge shape of the lesion; using all of the decoupled features related to the lesion as inputs of the classifier for implementing learning; and using a learned model to predict whether the lesion is benign or malignant. In the present invention, the features related to a lesion can be distinguished from other features, enabling the acquisition of lesion attribute information such as the shape and edge of the lesion that need to be determined first in the process of clinical cancer diagnosis, thereby increasing the precision of predicting whether a lesion is benign or malignant.
