Abstract:
Disclosed is an apparatus for preventing attachment and growth of aquatic organisms onto an offshore structure. The apparatus for preventing attachment and growth of aquatic organisms onto an offshore structure comprises: a potentiometer arranged on the submerged surface of the offshore structure; a central control unit for determining whether aquatic organisms are attaching and growing onto the submerged surface of the offshore structure by analyzing the potential difference received from the potentiometer; and an output electrode for applying a pulse wave to the submerged surface of the offshore structure under the control of the central control unit when determining aquatic organisms attaching and growing onto the submerged surface of the offshore structure.
