Title:
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING METADATA OF OBJECT IN DISTRIBUTED STORAGE SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/052379
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for processing metadata of an object in a distributed storage system, relating to the technical field of storage, and capable of solving the problem of non-uniformity of metadata of an object. The bucket of the distributed storage system here comprises at least two logical sub-buckets, the partitions to which the at least two logical sub-buckets are mapped are different, the first logical sub-bucket in the at least two logical sub-buckets is mapped to a first partition, and the index node of the distributed storage system manages the first partition. The method comprises: the service node of a distributed storage system receives an IO operation comprising the name of a bucket and the name of a first object; the service node selects, according to the name of the bucket and the name of the first object, a first logical sub-bucket from the bucket; the service node sends, according to the mapping relation between the first logical sub-bucket and a first partition, a processing request comprising the name of the logical sub-bucket and the name of the first object, the processing request being used for requesting to process the metadata of the first object in the first partition.
