Abstract:
An organic film on a roller, such as a photosensitive drum, fixing roller, rubber roller or magnet rollers, used for copying machines, printers, facsimiles, etc, can be removed without damaging a base metal layer by applying a high luminance pulse laser beam having a wavelength of 9.0 to 11.0 'mu'm. A metal cylinder from which the film is so removed can be regenerated and used again for rollers for copying machines, printers, facsimiles, etc, either as such or after re-coating. Further, the present invention provides a method of emitting a laser beam so as to remove the film on the surface of various rollers, and a roller processing apparatus.
