Abstract:

A method for producing a fiber formed article which comprises preparing a fiber laminate (10) in a wet state from a slurry containing a fiber material, subjecting the fiber laminate (10) to press formi.ng, and producing a fiber formed article having a corner portion (113) formed at an intersection point of the two planes (111 and 112), wherein a thickened portion (104) is provided in the vicinity of the corner portion (113) and then the corner portion (113) is formed by press forming. A mold used in the press forming is preferably heated. The thickened portion (104) is preferably formed by partly flexing the fiber laminate (10).
