Abstract:
Provided are a method and apparatus for producing quick lime using a coke dry quenching facility and a heat exchanger, whereby it becomes possible to produce quick lime with good thermal efficiency and in a simple configuration. A heated circulating gas that has been heated by cooling red-hot coke in a coke dry quenching facility is fed to a heat exchanger, air is heated with the heated circulating gas in the heat exchanger to produce a heated gas, the heated gas thus produced is fed to a lime calcination furnace, and lime stone is thermally decomposed with the heated gas in the lime calcination furnace to produce quick lime. A cooled circulating gas produced by cooling of the heated circulating gas due to the heating of air in the heat exchanger is fed to the coke dry quenching facility, and the cooled circulating gas is used as a cooled circulating gas for cooling red-hot coke.
