Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for providing a book recommendation service by receiving, from a user, an input of information on a reader and books that the reader possesses, and recommending a book appropriate for the reader on the basis of keywords extracted from books recommended for the reader in each educational area and keywords obtained from the books that the reader possesses. Unlike a conventional scheme for recommending only a book corresponding to a field of interest of a user on the basis of books purchased by the user, the present invention extracts keywords on the basis of the recommended books of each educational area according to an education curriculum, subdivides the keywords into a plurality of groups according to age groups or school year groups, on the basis of personal information and information on books in each individual's possession, collected from a plurality of individuals, and sets attributes of each group on the basis of the personal information.
