Abstract:
The disclosure relates to a 5th generation (5G) or 6th generation (6G) communication system for supporting higher data transmission rates. A method of operating a real-time communication application function (RTC AF) entity in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes receiving a service provisioning parameter (parameter for service provisioning) from an RTC service provider, generating a media session quality of service (QoS) parameter (parameter for AF session with QoS), based on the service provisioning parameter, transmitting the media session QoS parameter to a policy control function (PCF), generating a stream endpoint (SEP) configuration parameter (parameter for SEP configuration), based on the service provisioning parameter, and transmitting the stream endpoint configuration parameter to a stream endpoint entity.
