The present application relates to the technical field of communications. Disclosed are a method for provisioning a device. The method is applied to a device to be provisioned. The method comprises: in a provisioning mode, cyclically sending via a plurality of channels device information of a device to be provisioned; receiving channel indication information sent by a router, wherein the channel indication information is used for indicating information of a first channel, which is a channel for communication between the router and a terminal device; setting the first channel as a working channel; receiving provisioning information via the first channel; and according to the provisioning information, connecting to the router for provisioning. By setting the first channel as the working channel, the device to be provisioned can wait in advance on a channel in which the router sends the provisioning information. Further disclosed in the present application is another method for provisioning a device, an apparatus for provisioning a device, and a storage medium.
