Abstract:
A method of operating a terminal in a wireless communication system is provided, The method includes receiving, from a base station, a radio resource control (RRC) message associated with a transmission position of a synchronization signal/physical broadcast channel (SS/PBCH) block in the time domain, the RRC message includes information about a bitmap, identifying an index of at least one SS/PBCH block transmitted from the base station within a window for receiving the SS/PBCH block based on each bit value included in the bitmap and receiving, from the base station, the at least one SS/PBCH block at a position corresponding to the identified index.
