Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for supplying a film (2) to a film-covering station (4) for covering at least one cardboard tray (6) with film, comprising the steps of: positioning, preferably by means of a first transport unit (22), a cutting bottom tool (14) on a side, which faces away from an associated cutting top tool (12), of a conveyor plane of a, preferably pretensioned, film web (10) comprising the film (2) such that the film web (10) is located between the cutting top tool (12) and the cutting bottom tool (14), bringing together cutting top tool (12) and cutting bottom tool (14) in order to cut at least one film section (16) out of the film web (10), sucking up the cut-out film section (16) onto the cutting bottom tool (14), transporting, preferably by means of a first transport unit (22), the film section (16) sucked up onto the cutting bottom tool (14), preferably by means of a first transport unit (22), to a film-covering top tool (26) of the film-covering station (4), taking over the film section (16) sucked up onto the cutting bottom tool (14) from the cutting bottom tool (14) by means of the film-covering top tool (26) of the film-covering station (4).
