Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, apparatus and system for compressing a media access control packet header. The method for compressing a MAC packet header in the present invention comprises: generating a media access control (MAC) packet header, a format of the MAC packet header being a format of the MAC packet header after bytes occupied by the MAC packet header are compressed; encapsulating the MAC packet header and a MAC frame body into a physical protocol data unit (PPDU); and sending the PPDU to at least one station (STA). In the embodiments of the present invention, by generating a MAC packet header and compressing bytes occupied by the MAC packet header, address overheads of the MAC packet header are reduced and the system efficiency is improved.
