Abstract:
Provided are a method, apparatus, system and device for point to multiple point (P2MP) multicast tunnel protection. The method comprises: detecting whether a first tunnel between a first leaf node and a first root node in a multicast tree has failed; and if a failure is detected, pushing, on a second tunnel, a first landing service to the first leaf node, wherein the second tunnel is a tunnel forwarding a service through a second leaf node in the multicast tree. The technical solution of the present invention solves the problems in the related art that the cost for an operator to establish and maintain a P2MP tunnel is increased and bandwidth is wasted due to the fact that a large number of protection paths need to be established for P2MP tunnel protection, thus achieving the effects of reducing the cost for the operator to establish and maintain a P2MP tunnel and improving the network robustness.
