Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application relate to the technical field of communications, and provide a method, apparatus and system for repeated transmission of a preamble, and a medium. In the solution of the present application, a network device configures a PRACH resource for repeated transmission for a terminal device, and according to the configured PRACH resource, the terminal device generates a preamble for repeated transmission and determines an RO for the repeated transmission of the preamble. Then, the terminal device repeatedly transmits a PRACH on a same beam for multiple times, or repeatedly transmits a PRACH on different beams for multiple times. Regardless of repeatedly transmitting a PRACH on a same beam for multiple times or repeatedly transmitting a PRACH on different beams for multiple times, each PRACH carries the same preamble, so that a plurality of PRACHs are combined to generate gains, thereby achieving PRACH coverage enhancement, and improving the success rate of random access.
