Abstract:

A method and of transmitting management information, performed by an access point(AP), in a wireless local area network system is provided. The method includes transmitting, to a station, a frame including a BSS load information element, the BSS load element including a multi user(MU) multiple input multiple output(MIMO) capable STA count field and a plurality of bandwidth utilization fields, wherein the MU-MIMO capable STA count field indicates a total number of STAs with MU reception capability currently associated with a candidate BSS managed by the AP and the plurality of bandwidth untilization fields indicate whether a plurality of operating channel width are busy.
