Abstract:
The present application is applied to wireless local area network systems supporting 802.11-series protocols, for example, next-generation Wi-Fi protocols of IEEE 802.11ax, such as 802.11be, Wi-Fi7 or EHT, and for another example, a next generation of 802.11be, such as Wi-Fi8, and can also be applied to ultra-wideband (UWB)-based wireless personal area network systems and sensing systems. Embodiments of the present application provide a method and apparatus for transmitting a PPDU based on an UWB. The method comprises: generating a PPDU, and sending the PPDU, the PPDU comprising a first sub-field in a PHR field for indicating at least one of the following: whether the PPDU is transmitted in a multi-millisecond segmentation mode, a transmission duration of the PPDU within each millisecond, the number of symbols transmitted by the PPDU within each millisecond, and the number of segments of the PPDU. The present application facilitates the implementation of multi-millisecond segmented transmission of the PPDU.
