Abstract:
Provided in the embodiments of the present application is a method for verifying a network. The method comprises: a first terminal device receiving, from a first network device, a first MAC value and identification information of a network, wherein the first MAC value is determined according to identification information of a network where the first network device is located and key information corresponding to the first terminal device; the first terminal device generating a second MAC value according to the identification information and the key information; and the first terminal device determining whether the first MAC value matches the second MAC value. Therefore, it is ensured that a UE accesses a legitimate network, and is prevented from being tricked, by a service network, into accessing a network, and thus prevented from being illegally charged or from having data stolen.
