Abstract:
Provided is a method for assembling an interconnecting structure for superconducting cables. The interconnecting structure connects superconducting cables having a cable core, and an optical fiber arranged along the core. The method is provided with a step of taking out the optical fibers at the end portions of the two pieces of superconducting cables to be connected and connecting the optical fibers; a step of returning the taken out optical fiber of an extra length to the superconducting cable after connecting the optical fibers; and a step of connecting the cores. Thus, by the method for assembling the interconnecting structure for the superconducting cables, the sizes of a junction box are reduced by reducing the quantity of the optical fiber stored in the junction box.
