Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a simple method for crimping an eyelet and a washer by means of human power using only a hammer, an upper and lower piece, and an assisting tool; and an attachment tool used in the method. [Solution] The eyelet attachment tool has a lower piece (1), an upper piece (2), and a pilot pin (3) that can be inserted into the upper and lower pieces. The lower piece (1) has: a bottom indentation (11) provided to the upper surface thereof and able to adhere a washer (5) or eyelet (6); and a downward-tapered tubular lower blind hole (12) provided to the center of the bottom indentation. The upper piece (2) has: a top indentation (21) provided to the lower surface thereof and able to adhere an eyelet (6) or washer (5); and an upward-tapered tubular upper hole (22) provided to the center of the top indentation. The pilot pin (3) comprises: a tip-side curved section (32) that gently expands; and a base-side cylindrical section (33) that is nearly straight and has a diameter that comes into close contact with the tubular holes (12, 22) of the upper and lower pieces.
