Abstract:
A method for automating dental three-dimensional data position alignment comprises the steps of: extracting feature points of CT data; extracting feature points of scan data of a digital impression model; determining an up vector indicating a direction in which a patient's eyes and nose are located, and the left and right of the feature points of the scan data; extracting a teeth portion of the scan data; generating candidate target points by searching for source points of the scan data on a spline curve of the CT data; and determining a value having the smallest error between the candidate target points and the feature points of the CT data as a final candidate.
